Carmarthenshire Charity Triples Competition

Towards the end of the season we hold an open triples competition to raise money for local causes. Entries are typically opened in March with the competition taking place in April.

In recent years we have rasied money towards the Chris John Memorial Fund (2023), LATCH (2024) and for 2025 the charity of choice was the RNLI Burry Port Lifeboat Station.

A great day of bowling on Sunday 6th April 2025 at our annual charity triples, this year in aid of the RNLI Lifeboat Station in Burry Port.

Thanks to all who took part and supported this event with a special mention to Richard Palmer for running the event so smoothly. Also a big thank you to Sylvia Jones for organising the raffle for the day.

Thanks also to Bro Myrddin who donated the use of the venue for the event.

 

48 triples took part, with 'The Davies Divas' (Wyn, Gethin and Darren) taking top spot beating 'The three Musketeers' (Abigail, Chloe and Iwan) in the final. Losing semi-finalists were 'The three amigos' (Daf, Cen and Alan) and 'Mr Poppy' (Mark, Rhydian and Andrew).

'The Orthodontists' (Sam, Liz and Nick) took the honours in the plate competition beating 'Split happens' (Kevin, James and Jono) in the final.
